Undoubtedly you've heard about the horrific wildfires that spread through Napa and Sonoma counties early in October 2017. Here's my response to the many inquiries from friends and fans of Mathis Wine. sWill the fires negatively impact harvest of the 2017 grapes? Take a look:  sFinally, even though no fire reached Mathis Vineyard, will the smoke have any lasting effect on the 2018 vintage? Answers below... I can't thank the firefighters and first responders enough for their tireless efforts to prevent the fires from ravaging even more land and homes. They are heroes!
